Umiya Engineering Works traces its origins to 1963. In the undeveloped woodworking industry of those years, the company started as a woodworking workshop called ‘Shree Patel Saw Mill’. With an attitude to show superlative excellence in everything it did, the company tried to save manpower & time and thus improve profitability by rectifying traditional machinery.

In 1975, through extensive R&D, the company introduced two user-friendly machines, and they got the parent for this machinery.

At this juncture, the company decided to introduce all its Woodworking Sawmill Machinery under the new brand name ‘UMIYA’. Due to the high level of satisfaction and innovative ideas, ‘UMIYA’ became a better alternative to traditional machinery.
